An e-copy of Kill Me Softly by Sarah Cross!

Kill Me Softly

Mirabelle's past is shrouded in secrecy, from her parents' tragic deaths to her guardians' half-truths about why she can't return to her birthplace, Beau Rivage. Desperate to see the town, Mira runs away a week before her sixteenth birthday—and discovers a world she never could have imagined.

In Beau Rivage, nothing is what it seems—the strangely pale girl with a morbid interest in apples, the obnoxious playboy who's a beast to everyone he meets, and the chivalrous guy who has a thing for damsels in distress. Here, fairy tales come to life, curses are awakened, and ancient stories are played out again and again.

But fairy tales aren't pretty things, and they don't always end in happily ever after. Mira has a role to play, a fairy tale destiny to embrace or resist. As she struggles to take control of her fate, Mira is drawn into the lives of two brothers with fairy tale curses of their own . . . brothers who share a dark secret. And she'll find that love, just like fairy tales, can have sharp edges and hidden thorns.

I finished this the other day (look out for the review!) and I think it's a seriously easy going, summer read. There's romance, some action, lots of dangerous kissing and some pretty hilarious characters!

  1. Divergent which is on my shelf :)

I hope it's legal actually. Weird, because ebooks of that popular books are more expensive than paperbacks. :)

  16. I'm really looking forward to "For Darkness Shows the Stars" - I'm a HUGE Jane Austen fan, and "For Darkness Shows The Stars" is inspired by Austen's "Persuasion", and I'm REALLY interested to see how it was adapted. Plus, it sounds like a fantastic read, anyhow.

Thank you for being part of the "Summer Reads Giveaway Hop" - for your generosity, may your days be warm & bright all year round. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity! :D

Hey, you there, yes you ;)

Thanks for commenting! This is seriously awesome and I promise to try my hardest to get back to you, so do check back if you had a question or something to discuss!

Sadly, this is an award free blog. I really, really appreciate the thought and offer but with grade twelve and other activities as well as blogging, I don't really have all the spare time in the world. But thank you so much for the thought!

Seriously, though. Check back because I love to reply to comments ;)

Ellen.
