Stacking The Shelves {9}

I've decided to do Stacking The Shelves with a small roundup, inspired by Giselle from Xpresso Reads and Tynga's Reviews.

This week has been crazy, guys! On the weekend I read an article about the protagonists of the kid's movie Brave being gay and wrote a discussion post on that. The day after was my state's firecracker night, which inspired a post about my top 5 most explosive scenes in YA. Then I was absent so I could babysit, but returned with goodies for both you and myself. I had my first blog tour from Pledged by Gwynneth White which included a character interview with Seth and Erin and a giveaway. I posted another giveaway yesterday, the Summer Reads HOP. For books, I reviewed an ARC of One Moment by Kristina McBride. Slow, but insane. Look out for more major goodies next week. Seriously. I have some cool stuff up my sleeve ;)

Quite insane.

What is also quite insane is that amount of books I got this week and last week!

For review:

Otherkin (Otherkin, #1) League of Strays Confessions of an Angry Girl  Spark (Elemental, #2)Pledged

I am so so excited to read this! I fell in love with shifter novels way back when Rachel Vincent started her Shifter series with Stray about the feisty and total kick-ass Faythe Saunders. Plus, Nina is super sweet!

I've seen this around the blogsphere a bit, but haven't come across many reviews. Bullying is such a big issue and I am curious as to how the author hands the romance under this topic.

I am not all that into contemporary novels, but there was something about this book that just jumped out at me!

Why would I not be excited about this?! It's Spark. The sequel to Storm. That amazing and exhilarating and totally awesome Storm.

Recieved a copy of this for the blog tour that I'm participating on (it starts in July and goes through until August!). I've only read a little bit of it, but I'm enjoying the different setting compared to the majority of novels that are set in America.

A massive thank you to Kensignton Publishing, Harlequin, ABRAMS and Gwynneth for the awesome haul!

Bought:

(I got a new phone a couple of weeks ago and it has a fantastic camera so now I'm able to take actual photos of the books I bought! I'm so tempted to go back through all my other weekly hauls and replace them with actual photos! :P haha)

I own (and have not read) the first book in this series.I got it ages ago, but with the holidays (and the special) I decided to grab it! (Plus. The green on the spine of the book looks gorgeous, just as a side note for you).

I've heard so many good things about Lisa McMann. I actually haven't read her Wake trilogy, but when I saw this on special I knew I had to get it no matter what. Plus. Have you seen the trailer? It's creepy.

Titanic has to be one of my most favourite movies all time. I have yet to not cry while watching it. So to have a unique supernatural twist sounds amazing!

This cover is even prettier in real life. I didn't think that could be possible. I fell in love with Hereafter when I read it. The story, the writing, the characters. I cannot wait to return to this world!

So, link me up to your weekly round ups and I'll pop on around!

Hey, you there, yes you ;)

Thanks for commenting! This is seriously awesome and I promise to try my hardest to get back to you, so do check back if you had a question or something to discuss!

Sadly, this is an award free blog. I really, really appreciate the thought and offer but with grade twelve and other activities as well as blogging, I don't really have all the spare time in the world. But thank you so much for the thought!

Seriously, though. Check back because I love to reply to comments ;)

Ellen.
