My DIY bookshelf!

In case my not so subtle tweets over the weekend weren't as obvious as I thought, I spent the past two days making my very own bookshelf! I made it by myself (with some instructional help from dad who actually knows how to use things like a drill). And since I am so excited about it, I thought I'd dedicate an entire post to it, because I like it and I'm so proud of myself for doing this!

Me using the drill and clamp

This is when we had all the shelves drilled into one side and were about to start drilling holes for the other side.

Clamping my template in place so I could drill the holes without it causing movement

Just a random picture of all the shelves in.

The paint has finally finished drying.

THE END PRODUCT

So, some information on the bookshelf: it has six shelves, weighs a lot more than I thought possible and is 1.7 metres high. I absolutely love the set up (it's behind my desk) so that when whenever I start YouTube book vlogging all my books will be in the background.

Anyway, this is just a bragging post, but I'm just too thrilled to not share it!

Hey, you there, yes you ;)

Thanks for commenting! This is seriously awesome and I promise to try my hardest to get back to you, so do check back if you had a question or something to discuss!

Sadly, this is an award free blog. I really, really appreciate the thought and offer but with grade twelve and other activities as well as blogging, I don't really have all the spare time in the world. But thank you so much for the thought!

Seriously, though. Check back because I love to reply to comments ;)

Ellen.
